Shreveport baker to compete on Food Network’s new reality collection

A Shreveport baker will try to whip up first-rate cakes worthy of mass manufacturing and national reputation.

Chef Blake Jackson will compete on Food Network’s new truth series, “Bake You Rich.”

Each episode starts with four expert pastry chefs tasked with growing progressive and delectable desserts for the judges. The prevailing dessert can be bought at the Carlo’s Bakery, owned via the “Cake Boss” and host Buddy Valastro. Bake You Rich” premiered on April 14. Jackson’s episode will air at 9 p.M. On April 28 on Food Network.

“’ Bake You Rich’ is in contrast to every other baking competition, showcasing all of the factors that are required for a pinnacle-selling bakery item, past growing a tasty dessert,” Courtney White, president of Food Network, said in a press launch. “Buddy Valastro is the last expert with decades of revel in, and he brings his specific enterprise savvy because of the host and business accomplice for the fortunate winners.”

In 2017, Jackson opened Whisk Dessert Bar at 724 Azalea Dr. Inside the South Highlands community in Shreveport.
